details

since they are now south of the equator, note that the gps co-ordinates for the latitude has changed from north to south for the rest of the journey.

6:15am: after a good night's sleep, it was still dark as the group left lake naivasha heading to masai mara. kids were walking in the streets going to school. today, the group will entering masai mara through the sekenani gate and drive through the game park, ending at the border town of migori. masai mara merges with the vast, expansive serengeti plains in tanzania and is home for a large variey of animals including the "big five" (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion and rhinoceros). keep posted to find out what animals they can spot.

3:30pm: a special mention to some people that they have met along the way in kenya:

subhash & madan aggarwar, esso motors, nanyuki

basher sheikh, al noor petrol, moyale

abdul yusuf of narok

akbarali, mangia enterprise, marsabit

herve neakomm & urs of switzerland

11:00pm: the group drove through the border overnight and have safely reached the serengeti stopover. they are very tired but glad to have reached the fourth african country in their travels.
