details

1:00pm: last night for dinner, they enjoyed a lovely halal chicken meal at the kenchick restaurant. after a good rest at the sportsman arms hotel in nanyuki, the first task of the day was to purchase new tires for both cars. they bought reinforced heavy duty tires that can handle the punishing dirt roads as they enter the wildlife safari portion of their journey. some animal encounters have been unpleasant as the buraq hit a dik-dik (small deer) three days ago. the incident was upsetting, especially for ateeqoh who is fond

of animals. before leaving, they saw the funky water experiment (see day 16). they are now travelling to lake naivasha and have seen close-up some lovely, tall and graceful giraffes along the way. it is moving experience to see Allah's beautiful and amazing creations in their natural surroundings.

9:00pm: on a cloudy afternoon, it was a 300km journey on another road full of potholes as the group headed towards lake naivasha. the route took them over the equator four times and they stopped at delamere for a late indian lunch. they reached safely at the crayfish camp where they will stay the night. tomorrow, they will be leaving early in the morning at 6:00am into wild country ... the famous masai mara national park.
