9:00am: it was a very early start for the team as they left addis ababa for the kenyan border 800km away. the rest they got at the ghion hotel was welcoming and they re-engergized themselves. they are currently on a good road to moyale which is lined with acacia trees and will pass lakes along the rift valley. being over 2000m above sea level, the temperature is a cool 13 degrees celsius.
9:00pm: two weeks into the adventure and covering over 5000 km, the group has reached moyale at the kenyan border safely. this will be their third african country along their journey and they will be crossing the border tomorrow morning and will head to marsabit national park 255 km away. |
