 10:15am: the last few days have been very busy with the group travelling through mountainous regions on difficult roads. last night, once again they were on a bad road and it took them 5 hours to cover 140km. along the way they saw hyenas and a wolf. they spent the night in dese in an unfinished apartment and today they will be traveling 400km to addis ababa.  missing certain modern amenities, they are looking forward to a hot bath and are "craving fatty food". addis ababa is the capital of ethiopia and is located 2200m above sea level in the foothills of mount entoto. a city of over four million, there are museums and markets to visit. hopefully the group will have enough time to explore addis ababa.

7:30pm: it was another long and gruelling drive today and it took the group 7 hours to reach addis ababa. they were all very tired and will be spending the night at ghion hotel enjoying some proper food, running water and baths ... a few luxuries before heading towards the kenyan border.
