details

home base 1:00pm: abdullah had a minor incident this morning causing him to injure his small finger and cutting his lip. after the delay in khartoum, the group is driving 420km to gedaref, near the ethiopian border. shahzad will get to use his driving skills on rough african roads as he maneuvers the malaika on a bumpy road that is being used by many buses and trucks, while mushtaq will be driving the buraq. the road was described as a "bumpy road, full of pot-holes and feels like a rollercoaster ride". the terrain is barren, hot and dry.

home base 9:00pm: today the group got to experience africa in its diverse nature. from the waters of the two nile rivers, they drove on a rough road through barren terrain, passing gedaref, ending 550km later near the village of gallabat. being almost 600m above sea level, the temperature was cooler and the surroundings greener. accommodations for tonight are in a village hut ... stay connected to find out details of this true african experience!
