home base: the ferry left jeddah at midnight and estimated time of arrival in suakin, sudan is 2:00pm.  the time onboard will be used to sleep, relax and to energize themselves for the upcoming journey. after clearing customs, they will drive

60 km from suakin to port sudan.

home base 11:00pm june 24: after a very long ferry journey, the group finally reached their overnight destination of port sudan at 10:00pm. patience was tested once again as it took them 5 hours and lots of saudi riyals to clear customs and to allow the vehicles into sudan. perseverance, patience and eager anticipation has been well rewarded as the
